Monitor going on and off when starting the game and switching worlds

I've noticed that my monitor goes on and off when I start the game (almost as if the game is changing the resolution), and change locations. Is this normal behavior? 4790k Titan x sli latest dri...

It's shouldn't be having any effect on the lifespan or consistency of your drivers. I doubt that it is having a negative effect on the operation of your machine either.
