[PC] - Dragon Age II cannot sign in to EA account (says I am offline)
Dragon Age 2 cannot connect to internet
So I got Dragon age 2 from a CD and the installation was fine but then I had problems with SecuROM. After this I downloaded the latest patch of DA2 from this link: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/dlc-for-classic-games/#dragonage
This fixed the SecuROM issue but now I am being asked to sign in to an EA account.
When I try logging in it says my email/password is wrong (they're not, I logged in on Chrome and that worked) and if I press create account I get an error saying I am not connected to the internet despite the fact that I am (see attached). Does anyone know how to fix this?
- Hey, @jjules_c This could go a couple of different ways. With these codes, you don't need the CD anymore especially if you used a code. If you have the game in the EA app, that is suggested to be used not the CD. The CD is based off of Origin which was pre all the things. - For this error, the steps below typically resolve this. - Delete EA License Files: - Make sure the EA app is closed.
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER.
- Enable View Hidden Files and Folders
- Delete all files in the "License" folder.
 - Please clear your temp files: - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
- Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
- Your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
- (If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)
 - Optional: - Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version and portable version work too.)
- Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall DAI.
- At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Moderate" > Browse
- If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
- When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All > Delete
- Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall EA Desktop.
