Had the issue myself and after a few playthroughs I have tried the following:
Tried the suggested save+repair game in Origen - didn't work (only have keyboard/mouse so can't deselect controller)
Changed resolution and changed between fullscreen and windows mode - didn't work
The only thing I can get to repeatedly solve the problem is to go into "Graphics" and change the "Graphics quality". If I put it to automatic it consistently fails (automatic is high on my computer) - if I put it to low or medium it works fine.
Hope this helps someone.

This is seriously one of the most absurd bugs. All sorts of strange weird tricks people are able to do to get it to work and some of us who no matter what it doesn't work. Crappy programming and even worse testing/quality control. I was singing high praises for this game before this and now I will be telling everyone to avoid it. What a let down.

The problem he discribed has not been fixed at all for a lot of us. I followed your directions exactly. It's been days now and bioware has done nothing to solve this issue.. I regret buying this game for this reason.

Same for me. Trying repairing the game.
Honestly, 50£ for this **bleep**, buggy game is an insult. And a broken combat system too, so frustrating I'd like to slap the developers for the 150 hours of the game. Did they even played this on a pc? Tested? I am so sorry I bought this game.

^^^ Same here -- seems like there was no thought put into the PC version. Very sad day indeed.

I just exited the game and started it again. when the cutscene started after i defeated the boss, I hit esxape a couple of times to skip over it, I thought perhaps the scene was failing to completely load or complete. But the next thing I knew i had a dialogue chooser to select from. ran just fine after that....

That frustrates the **bleep** out of me. I've changed every setting, replayed the fight 20x, made saves at different points before the fight, repaired the game in origin, smashed the escape key, opened up origin ingame, skipped dialogue, not touched anything during cutscene. I've literally done every single thing mentioned in any of these threads and it still gets stuck. I'm incredibly frustrated and disappointed.
- PeachesF11 years agoNot applicableCame across this bug just before. Seemed to be related to having a full inventory and receiving the two items from the fallen boss. Loaded an earlier save and destroyed a couple of items, killed the boss again and watched the cutscenes. Fixed the issue 🙂

I've tried everything previously suggested but I hadn't thought about my inventory. I had 57/60, and destroyed a few items to bring it down to 54/60. Played it again in windowed mode. Still not working. This blows.
