    Hi tw3301,

    No problem at all.

Under Mac you have a Preference folder for every game or software you are running. This file contains basic set up for your game. If something gets corrupted there this kind of message or crash can occur. If I am not mistaken the path to find that folder is under Users\[username]\Library\Preferences.

From there, look for the Dragon Age Origins folder and simply delete it. When you will run the game again, this folder will be created anew.

Hopefully this will work without having to reinstall the game.

just tried that, didn't work, still have the same issue. Hopefully I didn't just waste $30 on this. BTW i have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no change.

I am having almost the exact same problem, only I don't hear any audio while the screen is black. Installing the game was a huge pain—I had to run the installer something like 12 times before it finally "took".

Did you ever find a solution? Getting customer support from EA is like pulling teeth. I just want to play this dumb game.

That didn't work and neither did reinstalling.

With open-ended problems such as this one, especially when we do not yet have a solution for the original author, it is preferable to separate problems and questions with PCs.  Only game consoles will always have the same answer to fixing the same (apparent) problem.

I do not like Apple products, not after the Apple 2E 8-bit PC, so I can't help with specifics, or even with a suggested outline for making a report thant will cover all the bases.

I have the same issue.  I installed fine.  Everything looks good.

Start the app and I hear the audio, but the applicaiton never appears on screen.

    Very disappointing.  :[

I know a temporary fix is to keep as few saves and load game files as possible
