Re: Mark of the Assassin not showing in available DLCs?

@paveljandejsek;

I actually prefer to get my DLC from the BioWare site.

I keep a local copy of all patches and DLC so I don't have to re-download them if (ok, "when") I do a re-install.

And as you noted, MotA is the first item here.  😕mileywink:

  • Thank you both for the info! 🙂

    Just to be sure - if I buy and download it from Bioware site will it work correctly with Origin? (I guess so, but better safe than sorry)

    Yes, purchasing the DLC on the BioWare site is the same as purchasing it through EA/Origin, except that:

    a)  You can choose to save the download on your local machine so you have it for later "just in case", and;

    b)  Installing it actually works, (unlike a significant percentage of the EA/Origin attempts.  😕mileywink:  )

    Hi,

    I just bought Mark of the Assasin thorugh bioware site, but installer claims that I don't have installed game on my computer. I bought game on Origin and it is installed on my computer. How can I resolve this issue? I also don't have DLC avaliable in Origin to buy.

    Any help?

    Thanks

  • You might have to activate it in-game in the menu rather than in the installer?

    Hi everyone,

    Just stopping by to confirm the problem that 'Mark of the Assassin' does not appear in the list of availabe downloads in Origin (at least is doesn't for me and a friend). I find this annoying, one of the advantages of using a platform as Origin is that everything is kept centrally and orderly. I don't want to buy DLC from different places. I contacted EA directly about this, but they just pointed me to the BioWare website. No further explanation was given.

    Strangely but to my delight, when I bought the DLC via the BioWare website the download started in Origin...! Everything seems to be working fine now. This seems to confirms thandalnyman's solution above. I have no experience with the DLC not activating in-game, sorry.

    Anyway, in the end buying it via the BioWare website has the same effect but it IS a somewhat strange procedure and leads to unnecessary confusion. Now I know Dragon Age II is probably not on EAs top priority list, but surely a big company trying to compete with other platforms such as Steam can do a better job in providing goods to sell?

    Kind regards,

    Giru

    Hi! I downloaded my promo code from amazon and the code went through the redeeming process, but it's not showing up on my registered games list on my social BioWare account. On my amazon account it says that I've paid for the code and I do not want to have to re-buy it from the actual bioware site. I am extremely un-tech savvy and would really just like this fixed. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • Buying from Amazon introduces a wrinkle with which I'm not familiar, but presuming you have your authorization/product code, an EA Game Advisor should be able to add it to your EA/Origin account without difficulty.

    Contact them through the Help Center.

    After getting to the Help Center and filling out the required information, (Product/Problem/Platform)
    look for the "Chat Now", "Call Me / Call Now", or "Email Now" buttons, not the AHQ "Ask Now" one.  (You've already done that.)
    The exact options you see will vary depending on your region and the time-of-day.  😕mileyfrustrated:

    If you select "Chat Now", (or "Call Now" if that is an option for you) be sure to have enough time to wait.
    I always expect it to take an hour before I'm connected to someone, and am pleasantly surprised when it's less.

    Good Luck!
