Re: [Xbox] Dragon Age Inquisition crashing On Launch

I tried removing the save data of all my games last night when I was with xbox support and the crash still happened after the fact. It 100% seems like it's trying to sync data up and something makes it crash during that process. 

UPDATE: i got home from work and booted up the game just to see if maybe something changed, now the game is launching fine and everything is normal. Not sure what changed.

I logged into both consoles this morning and it appears I can connect to the game without issues. Seems to be a temporary issue.

I am honestly not sure what happened as I went through all the troubleshooting steps to test it and had the same issue.

All seems to be good now though!

Ok, so now a week later the crashing issue has popped back up again. I haven't done anything different between now and a week ago but this morning im trying to play a little bit and the same issue is back. Start the game, get to the ea/bioware start up, then the game crashes....

After doing alot of investigating I'm pretty confident that this has to do with the game trying to connect to dragon age servers for specific people's accounts. Like it crashes whenever it tries to connect to the da servers or the Keep or wtv. I've read people saying that they had the crashing problem but it didn't persist after they switched accounts. For me it is currently working but only if I am offline, which sucks because we couldn't upload our world state from the previous games and we can't play online at all.

@acontentoakYea I know it’s a server connection issue but the solution I gave negates that and lets your original profile connect to servers and u can upload whatever and even play online multiplayer

@BJabrae This did not work for us unfortunately. It crashed after we attempted to upload our custom world state from the Keep. Tried a couple times and it just crashes after selecting our character cards and custom world state. It works offline though. We don't care so much about having to be online but we did want to play with our world state

@acontentoak But you were able to get to the menu of the game on your normal profile without a crash? If so that’s that’s still a plus. I’m sorry to hear that uploading a world state doesn’t work tho it’s very unfortunate. But it’s sounds like u can at least still play the game which is much more than u were able to do before.

Yes I was and I think this works as a fix aside from uploading a custom world state, which further indicates to me that the issue is with specific profile connections. 

I'm just feeling super bad Because I had my boyfriend play through the first two games to show him how special it is that the world's are connected, so he's really bummed and grumbling now that we couldn't play with that world state after putting so much time into selecting the choices from the Keep online.

@acontentoak Understandable if I find out a fix for the world state situation I’ll def let you know

@acontentoakSo surprisingly I’m able to import my world state if I make a new game but that’s most likely due to the fact that I already uploaded it before the game crashing issues started occurring  for everybody like 2 years ago. Smh if only they cared enough to fix this issue but sadly ik they don’t

@BJabrae Thanks! He refuses to actually keep playing unless we can play our world state lol it would dishonor our previous characters lol he didn't grow up with games or even really a tv so him playing through the first two was a real win! We will try to wait for a fix before we play 3

@acontentoak Yeah unfortunately the community manager stated earlier that they are more focused on 3s release to fix our issue with Inquisition so honestly yall may just be waiting for Oct 31 also there’s always multiplayer lol it’s always been fun to me
