Unable to install Dragon Age Inquisition from the Disks...

I have the deluxe edition. Everything installed fine from the disks, right up until disk 4. It seems like dic 4 finished intalling the basic game, and now the deluxe content, inquisitor weapons, mounts, etc...are all queued up to be downloaded, but nothing is happening for over one hour...just status = queued.

It shows there is a game update available and that I should download it to insure the game functions correctly, but when I try, I get this popup error:

So its a conundrum since the folder is in use for the deluxe content that isnt downloading either. Is there a trick to get the deluxe content to start downloading instead of staying in perma-queued?

I'm getting this error now too, But I also got this the very 1st time, When I tried to download this. The only thing I did was tried to do a reboot. But after shutting all my windows down and rebooting Origin it kicked in for the queue. This is my 2nd time going through the download process. So I'm a little flabberghasted by all this. It's frustrating and uncalled for. The Process didn't take long the 1st time I tried. But now it's taking a lot longer.

I have been waiting for the game forever, and because of all of this BS I am almost ready to return it. And I thought Microsoft was good at driving away their loyal customers....

I uninstalled Origin.  

Still get error "Your update could not be completed.  Please download and install the latest version of Origin from https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe"  

The webpage is blank and nothing can be downloaded.  It won't install from disk either.  I just installed new client for The Sims 4 on Friday and Origin was updated completely.

Is there a work around without Origin for us disk users?

I am also having this issue and I followed all the instructions that were put here. I unistalled Origin, re-installed it from the disk, entered my code, tried to install. Nope. Only way to get the game is to download it apparently. I specifically didn't want to download it, THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT THE DISKS. Thanks for the epic fail before the game is even started. With as slow as this is going I doubt I'll even get to play tonight. Fan-freaking-tastic.

@ Therealpyxx -  Thanks, I restarted Origin only (not my pc), and it immediately started downloading the deluxe extras. Im on 5 of 6 now...

That's exactly my situation. I've been looking through this board and it looks like there are no solutions at all. There's nothing wrong with my system, I'm using Windows 7 pro and surpass all the specs.

Did you do anything special to restart it? I see no change by restarting Origins.

I bought just regular inquisition from game stop. Got home and was super stoked to see 4 disks inside. I put disk 1 in and got the "update your operating system to vista 6 or better" message on windows 7. After trying and failing twice after updating my drivers and windows, I went to the disk. Anything in " " is what you should be looking for on your sceen.

1) Click the start menu (that windows symbol on your task bar)

2) On the start menu, there should be a few options to select from to the righ of your recently accessed files. One of them should say "Computer". Open that. (left click once)

3) This should open a new window/program/screen with all your different hard drives and "Devices with additional storage" (CD's, USB's, etc.). On the Left side (all the way left) of the sceen should be a list of  programs, files, hard drives and so on, starting with "Favorites". Locate the section called "Computer". Under that there should be another list of hard drives and "Devices with additional storage". One of those devices should be "DVD RW (E🙂 DA Inquisition 1". double left click on that. The "(E🙂 may be different on your computer, don't worry about that.

4) This should take you to the disk. There will be a few file folders and some images (aren't they pretty?).  One of the files should be titled "Autorun". Open "Autorun" (double left click).

5) More folders, more images. Open the "Oringin" folder (double left click).

6) There should be one thing in there, a program called "OriginSetup.exe". Launch (double left click) it. You should get a message about how this will install a non-updated version of EA Origin. Left click confirm. (If your current version of EA is soooo... upto date, why isn't this downloading? Because aliens wear purple hats and EA lie.)

7) After EA Origin has updated itself, go back to the original menu where you clicked on "Origin". You can do this by either repeating step 3, restarting from step 1 (you don't need to close anything to do this), or left clicking the back arrow near the top left corner of the screen tree times.  Now find and launch (double left click) Autorun.exe.

8) That started the install from the disk which EA Origin copied at the same time. After disk 1 is finished, a window will pop up asking you to put in disk 2. Put in disk 2 and then click okay on that pop up. Repeat for disks 3 and 4.

Had to reboot my entire PC but it seems to have done the trick.

Does anyone else that had the physical copy of DA: Origins Ultimate Edition have it try to keep adding Awakening to your queue? It is very annoying.
