- @58ab0c102c9d6ddc Depends on what and where do you order from. PlayStation and Xbox versions have physical and digital versions. You'll have to check the details in the store page from where you're ordering from.
In case of PC, it will most likely be a digital version. It's rather rare now for PC to get a phycal release. Again, you'll have to check the store page from where you're ordering from if it's a physical or digital version.Much has to do with media capacity. Blu-Ray disks hold more, but modern games are making the possibility to have the whole game on a disk problematic.
I remember my (original) Baldur's Gate coming on 5 CDs, though I see no enthusiasm from publishers to go down that road.
PC is (as has been said) in an even worse position because DVDs tend to be used and so digital is the only way, even if that download code ships in a box.

It'd be for the PC. And the offer seen was from EA.
Maybe the preorder offer isn't for me then. Plus if it doesn't come boxed I may well give it a miss anyway, despite years of waiting. Ah well, c'est la vie.
