[Gameplay Quest] Bidding Farewell quest disappears from log and never completes

Lucanis's personal quest Bidding Farewell is bugged for me, rendering his relationship progression broken in my game. After obtaining this quest, the cutscenes in Treviso proceed as normal, but then there's no quest completion pop-up, and it can no longer be found anywhere in the quest log; that is, it is not in either the to-be-completed or the completed quest list. I've tried reloading my game and even multiple Rooks, and nothing has helped.

Due to this bug, later on in the game, when Spite tries to leave through the eluvian in Lucanis's body while he sleeps, I only get one cutscene when there's supposed to be a second one. And I can't lock in a romance with him due to this either. So I can't fully experience either friendship or a romance with him. 

Any ideas on how to fix this?

    This bug affected me too. Was looking forward to Lucanis romance but my first play through was ruined. I had Lucanis in my party the entire time and I did every companion quest that was offered. Was able to do up to blood bath. After that no other quests with Lucanis triggered and I was never able to lock in a romance with him.  And was never able to get him to “hero” status. What a huge disappointment.

    It is frustrating. As you can see on the Dragon Age The Veilguard Technical Issues & Bug Other players are running into the same or similar issues. It's been reported to the team. With the way the game saves though, you may have to start a new playthrough. Even when these types of bugs are resolved, it is still a save file and not an online game. Once data is saved past that point, it kind of stays bugged on that one file.

    @feroshacouture As there have been two patches since this started, Have you reinstalled the game, or started a different playthrough since the game last updated?

    Also wanted to ask:

    Did you happen to save Treviso or Minrathous? 

    Did it not complete for you? Like the quest didn't register as completed or did you just not get more conversations, or lighthouse convos with him or other characters in order to attempt to romance him?
