I loved all of the previous versions of Dragon Age. I put many hours into all of them. Dragon age Inquisition was one of my favorite. With that said, what happened to Vailguard? Where are the pause controls and the ability to control your whole party and build and level your whole party? I can live without the blood but the gameplay is so different.. Why?
It does have blood in it. Try the finishing moves and Yeah its different but its still great game. I am a long long time bioware player since the very beginning, Im 54 years old and I can get to grips with the new style.
You can't control your party like the other games, but pause control exists and you can issue orders.
For me this has the best combat of the series.
You can issue commands and choose each character’s attire, weapons, accessories and skills. Yes, it’s more like Mass Effect 3 as far as party control, and I do miss the ability to pause the action and plot battlefield tactics, but that doesn’t mean we’ve lost all control of our party. Hopefully they’ll add more control options at some point, but this isn’t bad.
