Let's assume that she does. How can you explain why somehow the opacity for them would go from 10% to 100%?
Harding got exposed to the sun and an art style change.
Art style change is the only answer I could accept as being truthful. As for her getting exposed to the sun... What? My mom would spend a lot of time outside, and she never got freckled. Are you saying surface Dwarves are different when it comes to the sun?
I finally got to see Harding again in the game. Here is a screenshot taken directly from the game on my PC. No freckles whatsoever. I have a 2K resolution, in case that matters.
Did you lower all details to minimal to get that screenshot?

And speaking of graphic customization, this is how I play:
All quality ultra and fade-touch where available, 1080p (the game crash if I go higher), rendering resolution 150%.
And of course, 10 years later with no skincare and sun exposure:
Why tf would I do that? My video card can more than handle the current setting it's at.
