Veilguard - Rogue - Unable to use bow

I've tried everything I can think of to use a bow...as a Rogue...but I cannot seem to figure it out.  Why did they make it so complicated?!

  1. I've checked the settings, I am set to a Rogue in Controls -> Class Bindings
  2. I have hit the "X" key, which is the key bind to change to the secondary weapon...nothing happens
  3. I've left-clicked, right-clicked...nothing works.

Can someone provide me exact, step-by-step instructions on how to use a bow?  I am clearly not able to comprehend this incredibility difficult mechanic of the game.

    Just wanted to say that this appears to be a bug. There's been a bit of discussion around it elsewhere, which I discovered because it's also happening to me. What's really annoying is that I was actually able to use my bow for maybe half an hour of gameplay, and then the next time I opened the game, I'd lost the ability again. Very frustrating.
