I've noticed it happens the most when there is a lot going on and a lot of sounds happening at once. Specifically, I notice it happening the most with enemy sounds (especially roars) and water (waterfalls especially). As of right now I just finished Act 1 and it almost seems like it's getting a little worse.
I also notice it tends to happen a lot when I'm moving the camera around.
It happens to me everytime a character is behind me, but not glued on me. If I move the camera so I am facing away, their audio just cuts out, or it sounds like it's coming from a bathroom two blocks away from me.
Same for me-commenting to boost this issue. Definitely seems like a bug to me.
Having the same thing happen to me, rain is the biggest tell. Anyway to fix this yet?
I'm also having a lot of aduio drops. No other application is having this issue, so it's not a hardware issue.
Playing on a 5700X3D and a RX 6700XT, audio going through the HDMI of the video card. Latest drivers for eveything, I use optional updates for drivers - not just recommended.
Just an update, still having this problem after the new patch.
Otherwise enjoying the game, this is a pretty annoying bug.
