Before the update hit, I could freely move through the Thread Market area, to pick up anything that was missed during the mission to rescue the Thread leader.
After the patch however, there are now people blocking both stairways leading up to the upper level of the market, making it impossible to pass.
I'm having the same issue. I wasn't sure if it had to do with the dragon attack
It is not related to the dragon attack. This is the save I made on the original patch, and played through the game, saving Dock Town from the dragon.
I could freely move through this area before the patch hit, going up to the upper level, and into the arena where you fought the Venatori. And some of my friends were also having the same issue with their first saves, where they have already done the mission to free the Threads' leader before the patch, only to come back later, and see the stairs blocked off.
