[PC] Camera Movement Randomly Changes Direction

so ever since patch 2 I’ll be playing like normal then maybe 10 mins in my camera will randomly swing up into the sky or look down on me from above. after it does that my game starts to lag/stutter pretty bad and the only thing that fixes it is completely closing and reopening the game. I have no idea what is causing this issue, I’ve tried everything to narrow it down but no luck. has anyone else experienced this? I used to get the directx error where it said something like my gpu was removed but I feel like that error was replaced with this one or maybe it’s related to it somehow I don’t know. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated!

my rig

cpu: i5-13600k, gpu: nvidia rtx 4070 ti super, ram: 16gb and my game is installed on my hdd because my ssd is really old and has no room lol I need to upgrade it.

    • Can you attach a DxDiag? I do know that one of the last Windows updates caused a few issues for players but not really like you are mentioning.

At least it’s good to know I’m not going crazy and someone else has experienced this weird camera bug. I’ve only tried lowering my graphics preset to high from ultra but today I’ll try putting it on medium to see if it still happens! I’ve also seen people complaining about memory leaks and the crackling audio but I haven’t experienced the audio issue thankfully, I genuinely hope it gets fixed for everybody else soon though because that is definitely ridiculous, it’s been a problem since release I’m sure.

I was getting this issue, too, on my laptop, after a couple of hours or if I reloaded a game. Laptop is Windows 10, i7-9750H, RTX 2070, 16GB RAM; I'm not getting the issue on my PC build with Windows 11, AMD 7800X3D, RTX 4070 TI Super, 32GB RAM. Both installs ran on an SSD.

Because the game ran smoother on my laptop at launch, it feels like they changed something in an early patch with how the game uses memory, but that's a WAG. Have you tried lowering your graphics settings? It sucks to have to do so, I know - other than strand hair, I pretty much have to run on Medium settings on my PC build (same as my laptop) to prevent the audio crackling issue, which is ridiculous considering the specs.
