I'm consistently getting the DirectX Function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" error. Started off an hour into playing the 1st time, now I get it barely 30 seconds after playing the game.
Tried clean reinstalling the latest drivers and still getting the below.

I'm having the same issue. I had multiple crashes in CC on day 1, things stabilized day 2. Since day 3 I have at least a crash a day until yesterday when I try to choose my party and fast travel I get the hard crash. I have tried every solution I've found and now I'm left with uninstalling and reinstalling, which is an annoying thing to have to do when you have a limited mount of gigs per month and if you go over you get charged. Some people have had luck with reverting their driver update to a previous one but others said it had no effect. This is not an isolated problem- it seems like a LOT of people are having so I am hopeful for a solution.
i started getting this error out of nowhere 30+ hours into the game. i fixed it by rolling back to older drivers. (i have an amd gpu. 24.8.1 is working for me, i'm on a 6800XT) maybe this can also work for nvidia or intel users.
if not, i hear lowering the shadows helps other people.
