Dragon Age Veilguard crashes after 4-5 minutes (PC, EA App)

Hey all. This is... infuriating. 

I hadn't played DAV for about a year, and tried to last night. I noticed the game would crash after 4-5 minutes (I started timing it every time, it's an average of 4:30). It didn't matter whether I was in-game, standing still or moving, in the menu, at the "click to start" screen--none of it matters. The game runs for 4-5 minutes, then crashes to the desktop.

I've repaired, I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, restarted my computer a million times, tried playing offline... I had no issues playing this game all the way through twice from release day to mid last year, and now, I'm having this insane and unexplained issue.

I don't want to muddy the waters here, but my EA app itself keeps on crashing, too. I'll play a different game, quit the game, and the EA app will be completely closed, not running in Task Manager or anything. It will even shut down completely if I don't run a game and leave the EA app running untouched for 5-7 minutes. It doesn't matter if I'm on or offline, it always happens.

I don't know if it's related or not, but I thought I'd mention it in case....

Anyone have any clue what is going on here???
