Mine seems to launch just fine, but crashes about 1 minute into the game itself.
The error message popup states that it is DirectX related, or graphics driver related.
Now, I dug a little deeper, and it seems like the problem is also related to the upscaling, as it ran fine when I turned off XESS, or FSR (my card does not support DLSS), and left the resolution scaling at 100%
Framerate was horrible though, but the game was stable.System specs: GTX 1080Ti, AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, 32 GB RAM, Windows 10. Game is installed on an SSD.

Update: The graphics fix I tried did not work. I tried tuning all my overclock settings to any possible combination. Seems likely to not be a graphics issue. I can get through the game but it crashes every 5 minutes, so unless I get to a checkpoint fast enough I have to restart things constantly.

Same here, 4080, i9 14900kf, 64 GB RAM (bought on Steam)

Some inline updates for the trouble shooting recommended: Seems the vsync is a solution.- Have you checked your Anti-virus (or other security software)? No
- Are you running any third-party programs or overlays in the background? No
- Is your system Date/Time correct, or could you be running a VPN? It is correct, no VPN
- Are you using any mods? (if so remove them, clean install your game, and test on a fresh save) No
If you've checked the above and continue running into an issue playing Dragon Age, you may need to give the following a shot (like an arrow shot... get it!)
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates Already was updated. Just ran this tool.
- Default your PC to the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues Already Done
- If an option is available, try capping your frame rate. You can also enable Vertical Sync (V-Sync) to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate. I have DLSS enabled. But I set the frame rate to 144hz instead of 240. (Kept the cap to unlimited). This seems to be working now... no crash yet (5 min in).

Okay, that lasted 10 minutes ... It crashed -.-

Disabling DLSS and enabeling VSYNC also didn't work.

Got this error message when the game froze.
Could it be that the issues are related to the game engine itself, and its implementation of DirectX 12

I was able to play for 30 min, crashed, re entered, started compiling all over again, getting blue screens since then, updated and reinstalled using ddu, my cpu fans go mad when it's compiling the shaders.... seems like a cpu problem on thier end

Lucky you, 79% of compiling the shaders for me, but I had exactly the same problem with cpu fans, although my Win11 crashed without blue screen :/

This is how I finally FIXED my crashes during start-up/shaders:
!! BIOS UPDATE !! - for reference I am running:
MSI Z790-A motherboard, with i9 and RTX 2070 Super.Deleting shaders DOES NOT WORK because it will buy you max 5-10min before game will start to crash again randomly.
Updating BIOS to latest version will let the shaders build correctly on first load, so if you have deleted that folder repair your game + update BIOS and it will work.
