game crashing upon launch (steam ver)

What is your EA ID or Console ID (PSN ID/Gamertag) - wholly unrelated, due to playing a steam version.
What platform are you playing on - PC, steam.
What is happening? (and what do you expect to happen instead?) - the game crashes few moments after launching; first there is a few moments of a black screen - and then it crashes. sometimes the purple loading sign displays in the bottom right corner, sometimes it doesn't.
Does this happen in a specific area of the game? - after launching.
Please share any steps you've tried so far to resolve the issue: tried clearing out the shaders cache. tried deleting shaders one by one. tried reinstalling. tried verifying file integrity. updated my OS and my drivers. tinkered with various GPU settings in my GPU control panel. tried tinkering with system registry irt app being higher priority for system resources.

attached is my dxdiag. also, people on steam forums are reporting the same issue as well.

    Hey birdmaskguy Can we give the following a try? 

    1. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
    2. Default your PC to the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
    3. If an option is available, try capping your frame rate. You can also enable Vertical Sync (V-Sync) to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate.
    4.  To repair the game files in the EA app, go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
    5. Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
    6. Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.
    7. Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may interfere with your game.
    8. Reinstall your game and potentially your PC client.

      1. none of these did anything.
      2.  "due to playing a steam version"
      3. i already tried reinstalling, clearing, and verifying files, which i stated in the original post.
