GPU overheating in character creation

I can’t get past character creation due to GPU overheating. I have Rtx 2080ti with latest drivers installed today. Could be a bug in a game or drivers that cause overconsumption of memory which results in overheating. Never had that issue before in any game so far. Any idea of what to do? Maybe lowering graphics settings would help?

    I have the same GPU, and experienced the same thing three times now in character creation.

    I removed the shader_cache folder in game directory. It solved that problem. The game might stutter a bit at the beginning, but works like a charm after about 30minutes in. :)
