There is a chest in Dock Town that is no longer accessible after a certain choice is made in the game, due to the main base being moved. Now, the chest in the attached image is inaccessible and there is no way to get it or obtain 100% completion on this game file. This is ridiculous as it makes the many hours we have spent on our save file completely pointless, as this has now essentially become a ‘missable’ item that we can no longer access. I honestly thought this game did a good job of having no missable items until this point. PLEASE FIX THIS OR SUGGEST A FIX!

I’ve been googling this EXACT thing over the last 24 hours because I also have completed everything up until the point of no return, I originally saved Treviso, have EVERY statue, and this is the only chest I need to 100% everything and now I can’t. I was really enjoying the game up until this point, I understand it won’t prevent me from completing the game overall… but the fact that this is now the one chest I can’t obtain, it’s frustrating.

Hi! I have the SAME PROBLEM! I've been working hard for the past days to get my 100% exploration progress, and this is the last and only chest I need to make that happen. It's so frustrating that I won't be able to do so, just because I decided to save Treviso instead of Minrathous. I'm aware that there will be things you'll miss out depending on your choices, but not to the point to lock you out of your 100% game. I hope they'll fix this issue soon ...

Have you done the "Shadows of Minrathous" quest? For that specific chest, the "Gamer Guide" website says to do the following:"You’ll go to the Warehouse during the Shadows of Minrathous story quest. Follow the quest until you go past the red barrier and end up on the rooftop. After a battle up there, you’ll have to drop into the Warehouse via the roof entrance.Go through the door, and make your way to the bottom floor of the Warehouse until you reach the Bound Hurlock. Defeat the enemies, and you’ll find the chest in the southwest corner of the room."Hope this helps!

    So, not to spoil anything.. but you do not need the last chest to platinum the game.
    I beat the game earlier today and got the platinum trophy on PS5.
    Obviously depending on your choices, it shapes the ending, but I was very satisfied although missing 1 chest. Lol.
    Play through it. If you’re a gamer like me and enjoyed the storyline, it’s a lot of emotions.

  It's not a bug; you just need to collect all of the candlehops and the path opens back up.

  I am well past that quest (I have 100% finished everything in the game, including all side quests and chests etc, EXCEPT for this last chest). I am also right before the 'Point of No Return'.
  As you can see in the second image attached to the original post, these giant doors are now blocking the entrance to the area where the chest is.
  I believe it has to do with the 'base change', as you could apparently access that area from going downstairs from the main base.
  As I said, it is ridiculous that you can lose access to a chest and not be able to 100% the game.
  I need a fix!

  After some testing, it seems that the access that I need to obtain this chest are the 'stairs that go down from the original base' of Dock Town. After the Dock Town gets destroyed, that staircase is now blocked by debris and inaccessible, making the chest also inaccessible.
  Has anyone been able to find a fix???

    Seems if you don't choose to save Minrathous, and haven't gotten the chest by then, you can't. It's a missable chest. There is a handful of them throughout the game.

I've come across this same problem as well. It is quite annoying and disappointing that they would make this chest inaccessible. I hope they fix this soon as well.

    I did that. Downstairs is still not accessible. I chose to save Treviso. So its rubble blocking downstairs. I'll try fast traveling there again when I login this weekend, but I'm fairly certain it will still be there
