Items not showing up

Every play through I have cosmetic items that I get from shops and chests that just disappear. For instance last play through I bought and shield and sword transmog from the wisp merchant in the crossroads several times never showed up along with various items I found. This time non of my bows are showing up and when I got to the wardrobe it says I have only the one not even the preorder dlc shows up for the bow but the sword does.
