A temporary fix can be made in Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age The Veilguard\settings\ProfileOptions_profile. You'll have to open it with notepad or other program to find 4 lines for your selected class, Being mage, Warrior, and BasePlayer (rogue) GstKeyBinding.BasePlayer.ConceptMoveFB.0.button 17
GstKeyBinding.BasePlayer.ConceptMoveFB.1.button 31
GstKeyBinding.BasePlayer.ConceptMoveLR.0.button 32
GstKeyBinding.BasePlayer.ConceptMoveLR.1.button 30 and change (17 to 200) for up arrow, (31 to 208) for down arrow, (32 to 205) for right arrow, and (30 to 203) for left arrow.
This puts the movement onto the arrow keys, but has an issue with the camera causing an odd shake, so until someone can resolve that, this may not be a complete solution. If you decide to attempt this, you may want to make a backup of ProfileOptions_profile.

Thanks for writing this up. I tried this workaround, but it didn't quite work. Yes, the arrow keys became functional, however, moving forward with the arrow key, while also using the mouse to steer, caused a weird wobble effect on the screen that would have quickly given me a headache. I verified that this only happened with the arrow keys and not with WASD.
I switched using the Windows PowerToys keyboard remapping feature, and that worked. It's not a perfect solution because I have to turn it on and off when I start and stop the game, but until EA fixes this properly, it will get me by.

I found the same , only got the jank when moving forward and steering with mouse, Never heard of Windows Power Toys will look into it :)
OK found power toys installed, set keys, tested in game, works perfect. I'm not a softwear type guy and I found this whole proces stupid easy to set up :) . Turning it on and off is small price to pay for an excelent solution until they make a real fix.
tthnx for the info

Seriously EA, you don't have a single left handed player on your development team? The very first thing many lefties do when launching a new game is changing the keyboard mapping from WASD to arrow keys!
If the temporary fix posted above doesn't work, I guess I can't play this game that I've been waiting months for!

i am a left handed keyboard player and this is the first time i can't kind arrow keys on a bioware game, that's quite shamefull...i really hope it's a mishap and they're gonna fix fast...i am on ea app too. i tried to map the c key too and it seem locked too, couldn't bind it...

I'm also a lefty...with all the other accessibility options, this seems like a major oversight. I always, on every PC game I play, rebind movement to arrows. I have a gaming keyboard so I can change function that way, but I really hope there's a fix for this soon.
I am on PC, playing through the EA app.

Out of curiosity, which gaming keyboard do you use that allows you to rebind in the keyboard itself? Guess it's time for me to pick one up. Thanks!

Well, mine is an older Razer DeathStalker, but Logitech and several others make keyboards that can be remapped like this.

Same issue Windows 11/Steam. Other key maps seem to be working, just not arrow keys.

Same issue on EA App

Add another Irate lefty to the list, will try the workaround hoping I don't have to refund.
