"LOAD ERROR - An Error Occurred While Trying To Complete Your Request"

Hi guys. I tried my first attempt at launching the game today but I çan’t pass the title screen. When I hit a key to access the main menu it tells me that it could not access my request because of an index file error and I have been stuck. My PC is brand new and everything is updated.

Same here. I just requested a refund. Playing on a PC that is absolutely up to date still keeps getting this error. Fortunately, there are many good alternatives in this genre.

Unfortunately, is not just that area for me. Treviso, Tevinter, The Fade, Anderfels, Arlathan, all has had this issue for me.

so i realized the only time these loading errors occur is when i am trying to load into the Arlathan Forest, this is the only place(to my Knowledge) that causes the loading error. So dont save in the Arlathan Forest, make sure to avoid that until EA Fixes the issue.

As of now until this issue gets fixed, this game is entirely broken and unplayable for me. 68 hours invested, and I cannot get my saves to load without this **bleep** error.

I’m continuing to get the load error as well as the character customization glitch after this patch. My game and OS are both installed on an SSD

In the interest of getting this fixed, here is mine.

I take it back. Now even that work around is not longer working. EA really screwed the pooch with this bug-filled mess. Beautiful for sure, but that makes no difference when you invest 60+ hours into a game, and all of your save slots no longer load properly. I am dating myself, but I have been gaming since the 80s-current, and this is the only game I have ever run across in the deluge of games I have played, that even the saves are screwed. 

-POSSIBLE WORK AROUND- (stick to the end) I do not even want to play this anymore. Every. Single. Character. returns with this LOAD ERROR nonsense. This only happens when I end up closing the game and not playing for a few hours, then sign back in. BAM, my saves are screwed. SSD, HDD, does not matter. Graphics settings, does not matter. All my drivers are up to date, and I have the patch, does not matter. Auto save or manual save, does not matter. Temp Decision Save, does not matter.

The ONLY way I have been able to reliably (though it's a pain in the **bleep**) get into my most recent save, is to load the Temp Chapter Save, go through the cut scenes and dialogue choices, wait for that game to start, then load my latest save. Everything else I do returns with the LOAD ERROR. The save data is not corrupted, because it plays fine once I can actually load into it. Whatever is going on is on the EA side.

This just started happening for me today after I got the Nvidia graphics crash last night (for the nth time) in Arlathan Forest. I just shut down after, didn't attempt reload. 

Patch is already installed, no effect.

Was able to load the first auto-save that the game made, but no recent ones (autosaves or manual).

Now attempting to move from HDD to SSD via Steam.

EDIT: forgot to update. Was successful in solving the error once game was moved from HDD to SSD.
