After the patch, I've un/reinstalled the game, moved it to SSD, repaired the files, tried loading oldest save into the recent (no longer a viable fix, as doesn't work anymore), changed graphic settings, hardware acceleration, NVIDIA settings, and the LOAD ERROR persists.

The patch did bot resolve the load error issue for me. The game remains unplayable. Please fix this soon, this seems to affect a good number of people.

The patch did not resolve the LOAD ERROR issue, and it is not listed in the bugs fixed either. This game breaker remains a huge problem.

Same issue. Nothing works. Loading the oldest save and then loading back into my newest used to work, but now all of my saves beyond a few Temporary Decision saves all fail with this error. This is a Game Breaking bug. The kicker is the game actually loads (screen, music etc.), then kicks back with the LOAD ERROR issue, and right back to the main menu. HOW was the wide spread issue never caught before releasing this game?? It's affecting so MANY people!

I have the same issue! The game is completely unplayable for me. I cannot load any saves outside the Lighthouse or the very first save, and loading those saves reverts my Rook to a default male preset.
I have tried:
Reinstalling the game, installing it on a hdd, installing it on an ssd, loading a different character and then loading the save I want, using the repair function in the EA app, lowering the graphics setting, abd loading an earlier save and then the save I want.
Nothing has worked.
I want to play this game but I can't. If this doesn't get fixed soon, I'll have to request a refund. And I really don't want to do that.

Hi Shyrizu
Thanks for letting us know what you're running into with Dragon Age The Veilguard, Can you try loading your first or oldest save and checking if it works? If so, try loading your most recent save.
If this continues, would it be possible to grab a DxDiag file?
Cheers!
