No Companion Dialogue During Enemy Battles
I’m currently having an issue where companion dialogue during fights seems to be bugged. I haven’t had any at all for a solid 10+ hours of gameplay now and nothing I’ve tried, like rebooting the game...

Possibly related issue; after locking in at "Falling Hard" with Neve, I was getting combat dialogue with all characters, including Emmrich, but I wasn't getting the romance-specific combat dialogue from Neve. In a previous playthrough before patch 4, she'd say things like "That's my kind of Trouble". In this playthrough, she's continued to say the non-romance combat dialogue like "Nice shot, Rook".
Since reaching "Permanent Trouble" in the romance arc, I'm not getting any congratulatory combat dialogue from companions during Tearstone Island or later in Minrathous during the final assault. I don't remember whether that was the case in previous playthroughs, but it's noticeable. They do still call out ranged attackers and directional warnings.

Community ManagerAvaraen If you cn, can you save the game as a new save, load up the new one and go to an area where you can just engage with enemies and see what happens?
I am curious if creating a random new game will have the same affect and it is just the save. What you said is quite odd for sure.
Either way I sent this over to the team just now. If you can, I would love to get some save files from you to send over to them if they request it. This is an odd one for sure.
Here's how I tested the combat dialogue based on your suggestion, EA_Shepard :
- Loaded an earlier save with Neve at "Falling Hard" (romance-locked state) and then re-saved it as a test save.
- Restarted the computer and game.
- Loaded the test save.
- Did ~9 battles in Rivain and heard multiple congrats dialogues between Neve and Taash, including Neve to Rook:
- Look who comes through.
- Now there's a nice shot.
- Well don't you impress.
- Nice move.
- Restarted computer again, loaded same test save, same battles in Rivain; Neve was a little more chatty in combat to Rook:
- Rook, aren't you one to watch.
- Hey Rook, nice shot!
- Not too bad.
- Nice move Rook.
- Would you look at Rook.
- Well look at that.
- Rook takes credit there.
- Now there's a nice shot.
In previous playthroughs, after the romance lock, Neve had combat dialogues like "That's my kind of Trouble" and (iirc) other references to Rook as "Trouble". The dialogues that I heard above seem like the standard, non-romance dialogues. To test that, I loaded a much earlier save with Neve at "Longing Glances" before the romance lock-in, and I got many of the same comments that I heard in the later romance-locked save.
While I was in-game with the first test save, I also created a second test save on Tearstone Island and reloaded the save during that first play session. In ~7 battles on Tearstone Island, there were 0 congrats dialogues during combat, although there were multiple warning dialogues during combat.
I hope that helps. I'm happy to share save files, but the forums don't allow me to attach csav files. How do you recommend sharing save files?

Avaraen That does help. I can send that reply over to them for more info. It's going to be interesting because, most likely, what will happen is unless you went way back before it happened, it may continue like that on this save. Is a slow season due to holidays so not much is going to happen in the form of an update. Either way, it helps them.
Thanks for the info! For what it's worth, I've seen similar combat dialogue on other saves (different characters) that are also romance-locked with Neve. So I don't think that the problem is related to one character or save corruption. I can provide save files for multiple characters if they end up needing that (understood that might be after holidays).
