Hi Darko,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately that is really not the answer I was hoping for. Sims 3 Create a World simply does not work with EA App and I also had issues with installing new games very recently. Hoping EA will fix these issues soon if we are now being forced to use EA App...
- @punkerlishus soon as you install and uninstall origins your "account cant be found"
This is an absolute out rage, i hope they will be refunding the cost of unaccessable content purchased. @EA_Darko No, how about you make Origin optional for people instead of forcing them to use absolute, utter garbage EA App. Stop ignoring everyone hating on it, every single review I've ever seen has been profusely vomiting all over the new launcher, it's TRASH. Can't even use mods on my games anymore, it's a circus.
The Origin to EA App Upgrade does not work, it fails every time, and has now effectively denied me access to paid for Content.
I have had the exact same result on different, otherwise well specified and fully operational PCs and Laptops, and all exhibit the exact same issue.
The EA Upgrade now dominates the Origin screen, there is no workaround, and when the Install is tried, it initially downloads stuff, then always stalls at the Installation with no progress on the progress bar. Then, after a few minutes, it always stops and declares that something has gone wrong, then would I like to submit a Report to the Droids.
Any further attempts exhibit the exact same results.I have the same problem as maypanday and now can't reinstall games that was already installed with Orgin that the crappy EA App wouldn't recognize as installed. So uninstalled the games and can't download them again in EA App, and Origin has that annoying splash screen that ruins everything.
- @EA_Darko Installed the EA App and then tried playing ME 2 (which I had played yesterday via Origin) and it keeps telling me oops, something gone your end and can't lauch. Try again later! Both ME and ME 3 launch just fine! >.<
The EA App sucks *, bring back origin and get this * pop up outta the way.
- @Theometer Agree with you. I cant install EA app because of error and cant launch games because of ea app ads in origin. Nice one EA.
Why don't you add the information that the EA app will force you to pay for a membership to being able to access the games you already own.
This is pure EXTORTION! The absolute worst "customer service".TURN OF THAT EA APP ADS i really cant play and install your EA APP i dont use 64 bit windows! Understand it!!!!!
- @EA_Darko Nobody wants to use the EA app. I literally have been using Origin for months now for my playthrough of Dragon Age Inquisition, and all of a sudden it signs me out and is forcing me to use the garbage EA app that I have had nothing but problems with since it launched. That is why I decided to reinstall Origin in the first place. You're taking away the freedom of your community by making them conform to this stupid new app instead of giving us the choice. PC gamers choose to play on PC for the freedom that is not offered with console gaming. Obviously, whoever was in charge during the time Origin was developed knew what they were doing, because the people in charge of the new app definitely do not and it's going to continue to cost your company business as you frustrate and push away your loyal customers.
I suspect I can see where this is heading, and that's to a Subscription based model, forcing everyone to pay for access, even to CONTENT already PAID FOR!
I hate such a business model with an absolute passion, and it has caused me to dump many Applications over the years because of such a switch.
The EA App is the thin end of a bigger wedge.
But it doesn't even work, and now it is denying people access to PAID FOR CONTENT.
It was bad enough when they first rolled this out, but at least they pulled it after all of the complaints, and allowed people to keep using the existing Origin Login.
But to roll the broken EA App out a second time, as bad as the first, is a lesson in incompetence, or arrogance, or both.I have not been able to launch any on ea app for a while so I went back to origin, now with the pop up I can only use ea app which yes still won’t launch game “something went wrong on our side try again later”? None of the work arounds have worked for me so I can’t play what I’ve paid for. The games launched fine on origin, I don’t get it?
Legit this is stupid. I just wanna play my Sims and now I can’t less I download your crappy App? Rude. Some people don’t have to additional storage, and it sounds so glitchy that it makes me not want to download it. Let people have the option.
Does NOT work.
Blank Screen.
Bring back Origin, at least for now, rather than force a corrupted upgrade that doesn't work.

That is just ridiculous, I installed the EA app today so I could play The Sims 4 but it wont open because of an installastion error but a few days prior when I could still play with Origin, I had no issues, your app is a * system and you're preventing us from playing games we love
- El_Peligro_73 years agoSeasoned Novice@EA_Darko we need origin working since the ea app is missing alot of features and customizations that are crucial for the gaming experience including fps counters, cloud sync off and on setting and other game properties
I started having a problem two days ago with EA App, CnC Remastered Collection just wont run because an error caused the launch to fail.
So I've reinstalled Origin and surprisingly the game works perfect and I'm not getting the pop up forcing me to EA's Client.
Also I must say that after experiencing this, and reading this post, I'm not going to purchase absolutely anything which needs the EA App to run, so EA you better do something ASAP!!
I had this ea app cancer last month and somehow IDK how i manage to use only origin. Playing fifa20, but last 3 days ea app cancer has returned. What origin app did you install? Did you also changed anything in app settings or?
I don't know what others think, but I have zero need to upgrade to the EA App, because everything was working fine via the Origin login.
At the very least, the EA App upgrade should be optional, until the thing actually works.
Right now, those who have managed to install the EA App, seem to be having problems with it, so I for one can see no benefit to getting it.
But the forced EA App upgrade via the Origin Login Screen, is now totally disabling the Origin Login, so that is locking me out totally.
This is totally unacceptable, especially given the fact that the same problem happened a few weeks ago.
Rolling out a broken thing once is not impressive, but to do so twice is just an insult to existing Customers.Ok but we dont want the EA app because its trash and doesnt work. I shouldnt have to switch to a platform that DOES.NOT.WORK. in order to use what I paid for.
That's the same thing I'm going through. The only difference is I just opened and played Sims 4 last night and not for the lst like 4 hours I have tried everything to get this stupid App installed with no success. This is complete BS. I have spent so much money on the Sims 4 and can't even play it because this stupid distrustful large EA App install notification is stuck there as soon as i open origin.
No, see, this is what we are trying to AVOID doing. Perhaps you could try actually HELPING instead of just telling us to install that worthless garbage app! Tell us how to continue playing the games WE PAID YOU MONEY FOR without downgrading!
From all of the similar complaints here about the EA App, and bearing in mind many Customers won't know this Forum even exists, there must be hundreds, if not thousands of Customers now plagued by the awful EA App that simply does not work.
It's also clear that EA are not bothering to monitor this Forum. So, if nothing else, EA wins a Forum Gold Star for failing to consider their Customers, and a special badge for failing to login to the Forum for several weeks in a row.
- @EA_Darko are you serious???
so we cant use the origin app without installing another BS from EA?
yeah there are reasons why i rarely use origin anyway. but nope, not gonna install something i DONT want to install.
