@luvinqwho I don't know which folder you mean, so please post a screenshot of its contents.
If I had to guess though, this folder probably doesn't contain enough data to make a significant difference in the amout of free storage your computer has. It would be better to look in the Downloads folder for extraneous files, for example perhaps you haven't deleted the original .zip files after extracting them and moving the extracted files elsewhere.
If that's not enough, you might need to consider moving data to an external device, whether that's your Sims 4 user data or files you don't absolutely need to have on hand at all times.
@puzzlezaddict I too have this folder, it's located in Programs>Electronic Arts>EA Desktop. I think it contains old data that was not, for some reason, overwritten when the app updated. The folder is the same size as the one you are currently using (326MB), and checking the version of the app, the one in the outdatedEADesktop folder appears to be older (see screenshot). I also tried asking on the EA app forum if I could delete it, but no one answered me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
