Link2EA app shuts down without launching the game

I'm unable to launch any EA games. I own all of them through steam. Whenever I launch a game, a pop-up for link2EA appears and disappears within 10 seconds without ever launching the game. It looks like I never launched the game.

  • This is happening to me too, I do have them both installed and have completely reinstalled EA app multiple times and still can’t seem to figure out how to run Titanfall 2

@GreyFox_UGA Have you linked the Steam account to the EA account you are signed into the EA app with? Or was it linked to a previous one?
  • Hi there, I'm encountering this issue myself. I have them both linked, I've verified that through the help.ea site.

The game is installed through steam, but I've changed the install folder in the EA app to the same as my steam library, then 'installed' it through EA so that it recognises it as locally installed with the little "steam" tag on it.

When I hit play on the game through steam, EA or from the exe directly, it will flash the LINK2EA popup. Then the EA app disappears as if the game is about to launch, but instead it just reopens itself.

If I try to do "App Recovery" EA forgets the game is installed (but still recognises wild hearts for some reason), and I have to 'reinstall' it through EA again. If I try to launch through steam or the exe before reinstalling it on EA it gives me the popup saying the game isn't installed and gives me the prompt to buy it.

I have tried to verify through steam and there were no issues.
