My sims won’t launch after buying ranch pack idk if it really is the ranch pack

My sims won’t start after buying ranch pack or maybe it wasn’t even ranch pack i’m not sure. So after I bought the pack i tried to download it and it wouldn’t let me it would say “ something went wrong “ so i tired to restart the app, clear the cache, and move my mod folder to my desktop and try to launch but still it wouldn’t download or even open. When I would try to open sims without even downloading the ranch pack it wouldn’t open and would say “ a file is is corrupt a simple repair should fix it” something along those lines. That’s when i tried moving my mod folder. Anyone have any ideas?? Should also add that The reason I’m not sure if it’s the pack is because I didn’t play the game before I bought it today but I did play yesterday and everything was working fine so I do think it might’ve been the ranch pack but I’m not 100% sure.
