No CD Keys in EA Desktop

Every single game it appears that I originally purchased or added to my account when I used Origin launcher doesn't show a product key within EA Desktop.  Luckily I have just reinstalled Origin and I can right click game and choose properties to see the CD keys.  For example I have all the Battlefield games and Medal of honor titles.  In EA desktop it says I own them and shows them in "My Collection" but they can't be installed, without first closing EA desktop, launching Origin then getting the product key and going back to EA desktop.  Is this info ever going to get added to EA desktop, or am I expected to store all the keys in a text file somewhere

Hey @Emexrulsier testing this just now and I'm able to launch all those games without a request for a product key.

If you are being prompted for a product key and do not have it then our live support team can assist.

May be no harm having a chat with them in relation to the issue you are seeing.

  • I had previoulsy purchased these games many years ago via Origin and never had any issues.  Installing them from EA desktop (Medal of Honor) I noticed the game seemed to be stuck at finalising.  Then I found out the was a dialogue open where it was asking for the registration code.  I had to click cancel, close EA desktop, install Origin, then right click the game in Origin > Properties to get my cdkey.  Close Origin, launch EA Desktop, resume download/install and it accepted the key and install completed.  Now when I right click the installed game in EA Desktop it shows my key, though I am not sure if it will still show it if I uninstall the game.
