Re: ea beta cloud saves not working

@EA_Darko where can I check if cloud save working or not?
Btw i don't mean online save I mean offline saves. In fifa for example it would be manager career. Did that upload to the cloud in your machine?
Thanks for your willingness to help. Hopefully we can get something out of this because I do want to switch again from laptop to PC and I don't want to do that manually.

    Hey @Abo39foor if you load it up on PC does it load the save from where you left off?


    Are you loading that save from the cloud or from your system?

  • @EA_Darko I don't know what you mean I just run the EA beta and play the game.


    So to put it in a simple matter what happened is, I played the game on my PC. And then I played it on my laptop (same account) and I didn't find my save file.

    It sounds like you are loading a local save on your PC @Abo39foor and not a cloud save.

    Cloud saves were a recent addition as far as I am aware, can you check and ensure that you have them enabled. 

    As the app is still in beta you may run into issues with how certain features work.

  • @EA_Darko Yeah I don't see a cloud save option in my EA app settings or EA app game properties.
    I can make a video of that if you are interested in reporting This error. As I've read in another post that cloud saves can be actually enabled, but I swear my EA app does not have it.

    Make sure that your EA App is fully updated @Abo39foor.


    As it is a beta then you can run into any kind of issues. 


    Have you tried using Origin to see if it works there?

  • The launcher is set to update automatically
    I guess I'll mark it as this launcher being *.

    and no to origin because I downloaded ea beta in a step to troubleshoot another problem.

  • I also have this same problem.

    I do not see any option to enable or disable cloud vs. local saves on my device (either my desktop PC or my laptop.)  Nor do I see any option to Update the EA launcher manually (the toggle is On for automatic launcher updates so I would assume it is up to date.)

    Example: it notes the correct time for both Last Played and Total Hours -- but when I open the game (in my case, Mass Effect Legendary Edition) on my laptop; it is only local laptop Saves, and my latest Desktop PC saves are not there.  I know my Desktop PC is using Cloud saves because I have seen the pop-up before when there has been a misalignment between local and cloud saves. 

    I am not presented any option to update my Laptop saves with save files from the Cloud, however, when I launch the game.

    (FWIW Origin DOES have the latest Saves but that's not really the point, here, is it?)

    Almost a year later and the problem is not solved, in fact it's become worse. EA App still doesn't have cloud settings, Origin is blocked out, and my local save on Wild Hearts is corrupted with no way recover from cloud.
