removing games with no notification?
shutdown or not, you removed Anthem without notifying me. no compensation or credit for my purchase? with the heat surrounding games and digital ownership, you all thought this was the best time to pull this? won't buy another title through your app again.

I understand why losing access to a game you purchased is frustrating.
To clarify, Anthem was not removed without any public notice. EA announced that the game would be shut down on January 12, 2026, more than six months before the shutdown took place:

The announcement explained that:
- Anthem’s servers would remain available until January 12, 2026.
- Anthem was designed as an online-only game, so it would no longer be playable after the servers were taken offline.
- Previous purchasers could continue downloading and playing the game until the shutdown.
- Anthem would be removed from the EA Play playlist on August 15, 2025.

I don’t know whether a direct email or EA app notification was sent to your specific account. The official pages confirm that public notice was provided, but they do not confirm which individual players received account-level notifications.
No general compensation, account credit, or automatic refund program was announced as part of Anthem’s shutdown. Refund eligibility depends on where and when the game was purchased and the applicable refund terms.
