Renewing EA Play membership on Steam?

I 've been a Origin member for 3 years. Origin evolved to EA Play. My membership annual renewal date is approaching. I guess I'll have to pay 24.99 € to renew. But there is currently a discount on Steam. EA Play annual membership price 18,77 € on Steam. I'm an old member but I'll pay more. This is not fair.

If I purchase my membership on Steam, can I combine it with my existing EA Play account? Is there any way I can renew my existing EA Play subscription on Steam? I have no hope but still wanted to consult.

    You can't renew your Origin EA Play subscription via Steam as they are different versions.

    Therefore the EA Play version on Steam and Origin have different offers that differ per platform and cloud saves, for example, won't carry over to Steam.

    @holger1405 Hi.
    I have EA Play subscription on Steam.
    I installed EA Play for PC and after logging in, I can't see any active membership - does it mean that those are different plans???

    @JED_POLAND 

    The "Play List", ak your EA Play game list is only available in Steam if you have the EA Play subscription on Steam.

    Some games still need Origin or EA Desktop (I don't know how reliable that works on EA Desktop due to it being still a Beta.)  to be played, but that depends on the game.

    If you start the Game in Steam it should automatically open Origin/EA Desktop (or prompt you to install it) so you can link the Steam and EA Accounts.

    How about Xbox?
    I downloaded the app but there's no way to login - only to buy a plan - why is that?
