Just bought Battlefield V from steam today. As soon as I try to launch it, EA app opens up and I get the following error: "Error on our end caused your launch to fail" I have tried the following: Updated windows and GPU driver. Cleared EA App cache using the recovery app. Repaired an Reinstalled BFV in steam. Disabled all overlays (discord, origin, etc). Disabled my antivirus and its firewall. Tried running EA App as admin. Restarting my PC. Still nothing, I am getting this error every time. Can someone help here please? I have attached my dxdiag. If there are no other suggestions I'll probably just get it refunded. So after searching on the internet for fixes for my bf5 not launching and not having any luck i decided to try to fix it myself and i did here is how i did it hope it helps you too: First unnisntall ea app and then just go to registry editor, path "HKEY_Local(something) /SOFTWARE/EA Games and delete the "Battlefield 5 folder". Then go to steam library click on bf5 and do a check files integrity. After that without installing ea app try to open Battlefield again the game will install ea app by itself and it will create a new folder with the right path.

I played it for almost 15 hours and suddenly when I was forced to install the EA app my EA games on steam wont launch

Same thing is happening to me glad to see its not just me but a lot of people in the forums are having this issue . It happened when I was forced to install the EA app since then I keep getting that error or if I try and launch it through the exe file it says I dont own the title

@ZeAwpenheimer Hmm, maybe I can just buy it off of EA app? Do we know they work if directly launched from there?

If it works I will buy it again from EA its on special currently but I saw some people that bought it on both Steam then EA and it still didnt work . I think it is something with the new EA app not recognizing that we own Battlefield .

@ZeAwpenheimerWeird. I got it refunded from steam, but kinda sad we might miss out on the whole special discount just because of this lol

If I click play on my battlefield 5 in steam it will not launch it will just open my EA launcher and say there was an error on our side please try again later and then it will proceed to cancel my process of opening the game and it makes me repeat this process and it just never opens never had this problem with origin just the EA launcher which is awful

I bought BFV 2-3 days ago and ever since it won't launch. I have validated, reinstalled both BF and EA, Cleared EA Cache, made sure EA was able to go through the firewall, and everything that is out there. I also noticed that it doesn't show that BFV is even installed on the EA-installed game list and yet it's installed on steam. No clue whether EA is just having its normal program bugs ever since the switch from Origin to EA. Does anyone else have any ideas on how to fix this?
