Is it possible that you own the game on multiple platforms, or previously played the game via EA Play for Origin/EA app by any chance?
Hi @EA_Leeuw, I'm not sure if I played it from EA Access about 2 years ago, how can I check it? But it's weird that this problem is caused by that if I played it later after buying it on Steam.
EDIT: Ok, I can confirm I paid EA Play on 08/07/21 and 08/08/21, and it's possible I played BFV.

@Ivynator98, thanks for the info. In that case, could you maybe try to reach out to the Live Support team and check with them if they can see if your expired Battlefield V EA Play (previously called EA Access) entitlements have been correctly disabled (or better deleted) from your account when your EA Play expired? It could be that this is now trying to override your Steam version of the game and therefore blocking the game from launching correctly.
- 3 years ago@EA_Leeuw I contacted to them and they offered me no solution, just wait.

@Ivynator98, that is odd. They were not able to remove the expired entitlements from your account?

So after searching on the internet for fixes for my bf5 not launching and not having any luck i decided to try to fix it myself and i did here is how i did it hope it helps you too: First unnisntall ea app and then just go to registry editor, path "HKEY_Local(something) /SOFTWARE/EA Games and delete the "Battlefield 5 folder". Then go to steam library click on bf5 and do a check files integrity. After that without installing ea app try to open Battlefield again the game will install ea app by itself and it will create a new folder with the right path.

Maan thak you so much this work for me!
I recently have problem, after end of xbox game pass, I buy bf5 in steam and this not launch, just check all game files.
What I do, delete all files with EA.. in "ProgramFiles", "appdata", registry (win+r regedit)
after this you go in folder with your bf5 in steam and find the EA installer,
smth like that "S:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield V\__Installer\Origin\redist\internal"
and then you launch EAappInstaller.exe, and you need to click "clean cache" or smth like that, NOT the "launch app"
