Summarize your bug Can't download Battlefield 2042... can't delete the trial version so I have an option to Play the game and Download the game. Both just try downloading the game and do absolutely nothing. Pretty Standard EA release if I'm honest. ***************DON"T PREORDER EA GAMES******************
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If you can't find it you need new IT.
What happens when the bug occurs? What do you expect to see? Maybe the game download?

Did we get a 10 hr trial because you figured, people wont be able to play launch day at least they can play a few hours of the game they purchased..............

Anyone unable to download the game on the EA app try downloading through Origins. This let me download it and now launch it from the EA app. I also deleted all BF 2042 files I had downloaded on my PC.

Having the same issue. After the most recent update the game wouldn't start. So I tried the recommended solution to uninstall and then reinstall... Now I can't even get the game downloaded to fix the first issue!
I have PRO pass and clicked to download the game. It acts like its downloading, but shows no progress. When I click on download manger in goes to it and just shows no content except 3 loading dots. I have no option to cancel the download to try again. They took my money and I got nothing in return.

came here with same problem NOTHING WORKS CANT DOWNLOAD AND NO ANSWERS FROM EA.

Try going to your start menu, finding the EA Desktop file, there should be a file called App Recovery. Running App recovery has now allowed me to download the game. Hopefully this helps...

@TinMan312 does not work from me, have tried uninstalling the app, retsrting the app, 4 different internets, cable and wifi, and it starts the download strong, then the connection falls fast and it says that it lost connection to the internet even though it clearly did not as any other app on my pc has very strong connection. cant even download the 6gb update for bf 2042 because of that problem, so now i play bf on ps4 waiting for EA to fix their * on pc.

Hi @NorEliteGamer,

Could you let me know where you have purchased BF2042?

I have noticed that when it was purchased through a third party retailer, that you can only download and install the game through Origin and not via the EA app.

This is something that I have passed on to the team to be investigated, but for now the only solution is to play through Origin.

So in short: Let me know where you purchased it and I'll look into it.

Yes, i got it as a code with a ssd purchase, i activated the code in Origin, but didnt download through origin, i did the download through the EA app on launch day, and that worked, then i played two matches before i decided to not play before an update, and then the update arrived, and it wont download at all or it will say that it is downloading, but then show a message "could not connect to the internet"

It was redeemed on this account yes, but i did something before i left for work today, i took out one of my ramsticks just to see if it would have an effect, and the download started, i dont know if it is downloading right now as i am at work, but it actually started with somewhat correct download speed as well. Maybe there is a hardware related bug in the app regarding ram or something?
