Bought One Kit on the EA App and it Charged Me for Another
I bought the Secret Sanctuary kit. I like using people's creator codes because EA does not deserve any of the money it gets (considering I have to go to a community forum to resolve this glaring bug in the EA app). I put in a random creator code from a list of codes I found online. Purchased the Secret Sanctuary kit. But then, lo and behold, I could not download the Secret Sanctuary kit. This has happened before, where if I restarted the app, the download option would then appear. But that did not work this time. I then tried restarting my computer. That also did not work; as far as EA is concerned, I have not purchased Secret Sanctuary despite my credit card and email receipt saying I have made a purchase.
So I checked my email receipt to see if there was some kind of way I could contact EA about this. And on the receipt, I see that it claims I have purchased the Sleek Bathroom kit. But here's the thing, EA. I had purchased the Sleek Bathroom kit a month ago. As you all know, you cannot purchase the same expansion twice in the EA app because it does not technically give you that option anywhere. But EA of course found a way; I looked up who made the kit, and it was the person whose code I had used. Apparently, with specifically Syboulette's creator code, if you use it on ANY other kit purchase, you will be forced to buy Sleek Bathroom over and over again, as this is my experience. I know this is the case because I bought three packs today. Secret Sanctuary was the second purchase of the three separate purchases (I did them separately so I could max my use of creator codes). The first and third purchases (with other people's codes, that by the way did NOT match the kits I paired them with because the kits I bought were not creator kits) worked perfectly fine.
I tried doing EA's very "generous" Refund Form, but all the boxes were grayed out from the start and I otherwise could not interact with it, because the site claims that I have made zero purchases in the last 24 hours despite my credit card and email receipt proving otherwise. EA's "brilliant" bot helper said that it did not understand the questions I was asking about it, and that maybe I should try not purchasing content from a third party (and yes humans, as you are more capable of following along than EA's bot, there was no third-party purchase made here). So what the hell do I do? Am I screwed and EA just gets my five bucks to use as toilet paper, or do I have any kind of feasible option for a refund or altered purchase?
