    Fortunately, it's possible to circumvent the EA malware by adding the executable as a non-steam game to the library. Then, I picked the latest version of proton to run the game, and it works nicely. I took the idea from this post

    but for me the executable was under the path:

    /media/secondHDD/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Jedi Fallen Order/SwGame/Binaries/Win64/SwGame-Win64-Shipping.exe

    And I didn't have to take step 2 (removing the EA client)

      @EA_BarryThe game has a Golden rank on protonDB [1], so it's almost perfectly playable on Linux, and this is all you have to say? Steam, Epic, Uplay, and GOG somehow made their shop supported, and the #1 company as always don't give a * about anything... What a joke
