I am having the same issue, can not import my xbox friends list
Thank you @BurialShroud for the extra insight.
@dragohnz and @Pickles75, do you also have a large amount of friends in your friendslist? If so, how many?

Hi Jason,
One thing I did notice with Battlefield and the EA App in mind is that when I added a friend who was on XBOX within Battlefield 2042, it put them in the EA friends category meaning it was cross platform but they had an EA Account. The app may be having issues getting the EA ID or EA profile of the XBOX content list as it tries to go through the enormous list of people. This could also be an issue on the side of the platform as well if they have a way to block API calls to grab data. This could be a security enhancement put in place to block hackers and inadvertently got mixed in with this.
I don't know a lot about the systems being used or the API's although I know that the app uses Restful API to make calls, but it could just be that it isn't able to get the EA ID's from the XBOX Gamertags that are linked in this manner of pulling in huge amount of data from the EA Desktop app.
I would ask that you file a bug with the developer and let them know that searching for gamer tags is working from within the game via the Battlefield 2042 search functionality, but not from the EA Desktop app. If they use the same API it could fix this issue across the entire app.

Hi @BurialShroud,
I have already raised this as a bug with the EA app team where some players hare having issues importing their friends list through Origin/EA app.
I just checked with @EA_Vendcera to see if there were any issues in Battlefield with friends. He might be able to tell you a bit more about that as he does a bit more regarding the Battlefield side of things 🙂
