Can't change Xbox account - can't access EA Play with Xbox Game Pass for PC

This is less of a question and more of an informational post, considering I've talked to 3 different EA Support specialists about this issue and am resulted with the same "There's nothing we can do" conclusion.

EA cannot help me and they offer no solution to an issue they're neglecting to resolve.

Anyway, I've been using my same EA Account for years - so long in fact, 10 years ago I had linked an Xbox account to my EA account without ever thinking about it (I've never owned an Xbox, so I must've logged in to a friend's Xbox or something). Unfortunately, EA has a policy, or rule, or restriction, whatever you want to call it, stating that "Only a single Xbox Live account can be linked to an EA Account in it's lifetime". So removing a linked Xbox account from an EA account results in you not being able to link another Xbox account to it, EVER. There's no explanation, there's no reasoning, and there's no alternate solution. If you linked the wrong Xbox account, then you either have to use that wrong Xbox account forever or none at all.

With Xbox Game Pass for PC now including EA Play in the subscription, I thought I hit the jackpot for wanting to play all of Xbox's new PC titles, along with all the EA titles I've been missing out on over the years. However, I can't do that anymore. If I want EA Play, I'll have to pay for it separately on my EA account, double-paying for a service that I was only willing to use bundled together with another larger service.

What I don't understand is that I was able to fix my PlayStation account from a similar issue only a couple months ago - I had the wrong PSN linked to my EA, so I contacted EA Support and they fixed it right up for me, easy-peasy. I don't know if it's the same for Steam accounts.

TL;DR I had an old Xbox account I made as a kid linked to my EA Account, and that Xbox account has been lost to the wind and doesn't exist. With EA Play becoming part of Xbox Game Pass for PC, and me not being able to link my current Xbox account to my EA account because it had this old account on there, I cannot use my EA Play subscription that's included with my Xbox Game Pass subscription. I cannot use the service I'm paying for.
