Can't download EA app on PC

Hello, 

Looking for some assistance on this topic. 

I am unable to install the EA app on my PC. I am trying to run Sims 4 through the Steam App. In order to run Sims 4, I do need to have the EA app installed.

Once I download the installer from the EA website, and launch the file as an administrator, the loading screen halts and doesn't proceed to downloading. 

I have attempted multiple times to delete and re-install the app. I've also uninstalled Steam on my device as well, but the issue still persists. I have also tried to uninstall the Sims 4 games completely, and re-install it on Steam. 

I've spoke with a rep from EA as well, and they advised to disable all background processes on Task Manager and clear my PC's cache, but the problem is still occurring ☹️
