can't download the sims 4, stuck on "preparing".

Earlier today I bought a pack in Sims and it was not appearing or letting me download it I got that issue resolved, but when I try to download the dine-out back in Sims 4 I get stuck in calculating time. I have let my computer try to download it for about an hour but I have just been stuck at 42%. I have tried resolving this issue by clearing my cache, and canceling the download, resuming it and various other methods but nothing seems to work. How can I get the pack to download or unfreeze?
