can't download the sims 4, stuck on "preparing".

While waiting for a reply i searched on how to fix it and I reformatted it to NTFS and restarted my laptop then checked the download and it was on download now instead of preparing I could've just deleted the question but I decided to make this just in case anyone else has the same problem

I have the same issue. 

“reformatted it to NTFS” - can you tell me more about this? Not sure how to do it.
