I've already gone through everything suggested in EA's help section for this problem.
None of these have fixed it. The app will say "Preparing" for a solid 5 minutes before telling me it can't be downloaded and to try again later. This is for any game.
Greeting, I've bought ea play pro subscription, but every time I'm trying to download any game the application displays spinner (preparing) and after it shows the message - download error, try in a few minutes.
Got 1,1 tb of free space.
Will the subscription be prolonged with no charges cause of issues with your service?
I tried to reinstall the app, reboot pc and clear ea app cache and run as admin user. Nothing helps

I had the same problem, I found a solution in another topic. It worked for me.
I fixed it on Windows 10 doing the following steps.
Close the app (taskbar > exit)
Task Manager > Processes > End Task: EA Background Service
Run (Windows key + R) > %ProgramData%\EA Desktop then delete everything there
Run (Windows key + R) > %AppData% > Local then delete anything that says EA / Electronic Arts / Origin
Run EA App as Administrator
After preparing for hours i did this and it immediately started to download.
