@LMS5100, can you uninstall the game with the Revo Uninstaller? That would remove the game fully from your registry and might help here.

Then, try to install the Steam-Version again.
Is the Steam account also linked to the EA account on which you had G100?
I'll give that a try. The steam account is linked to a new account, not my G100.
I'm also to play on steam account now, but not my old account, I think i'll leave it like this for a while until I'm ready to switch back and then do the whole uninstall->reinstall situation. I believe this is a bug that no one has resolved with EA Desktop and TF2.
Thank you for the suggestions Poppy.

- 3 years ago@LMS5100 me too i bought and DLed the game through ea app and then ea app bugs immediately, when i spoke to my surroundings everybody told me EA APP is so trash nothing will work, go buy it on steam instead so i asked refund for the game then got myself a steam account and DLed again TTF2 there and guess what...it still requires the EA app to run but this time it goes into an infinite cycle of preparing the game - validating the game, but the game just won't launch. when the refund was approved TTF2 in my EA library just vanished so i couldn't uninstall it 'properly' i had to do it manually, and that might be causing it, which brings me to the next big question: is there no QA testers in EA ? nobody tests anything before releasing ? ever since origin became EA app, the bugs never stopped. i'm tired of this incapable company
