@gijolie20 This error is going to be mostly network-related from what I can see. See if the following helps with this one.
First, uninstall the EA app
Please clear your temp files:
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
- Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
- Your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
Next, you need to check the network adapters and disable internal network adapters you are not using.
Reinstall the EA app again and log back in and see if you get the same error.
I've tried that several times and still isn't working.

@vcosley If you are still running into this can you try the following?
1) Redownload the EA app.
2) If a prompt appears saying the EA app is already installed, click on "Repair".
3) Try to launch the App again.
