Can't use Origin, forcing me to install EA app, EA app doesn't have cloud saves

Summarize your bug Why am I being forced to install the EA app, when I have Origin? The EA app does not support cloud saves, and I cannot deny the install prompt in the Origin application.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open the Origin, buggy modal pops up, can't close.
What happens when the bug occurs? A modal can't be closed, and I'm forced to install the EA app. Forcing this on users is not an excuse.
What do you expect to see? The ability to use Origin, and have access to cloud saves.

Cloud saves aren't available in the EA app.

    It worked at one time, but now it no longer works. Even changing th read-only, it still gets overwritten.

    I've notice that the local.xml gets rewritten with some .guard (something) and then that files disappears. I also seen where my security changes on my files. The local.xml actually takes MY security away and when I change it back and follow the instructions, it all repeats.

    Up to a week or two ago, the workaround was perfect.

    Yeah same issue I am finding today. Which does not help as migration of accounts somehow has EA App trying to use a wrong product code for Mass Effect 3 N7 Collectors Edition. Listing it as standard edition in EA App. Resulting in not being able to run the game. At least with the work around I could still use Origin and load the game to play. But that no longer is an option with local.xml ignoring being set to read only

    Having installed both of them don't work! Starting Origin it asks to UPDATE the EA app instead. I'm just waiting for the unofficial app that will run Origin games without any harms.
