[CLOSED] How to Fix "Your Game Failed to Launch" Error in EA app?

Summarize your bug Every time I try to launch any game in the EA app I get a prompt that says: "Your game failed to launch An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later."
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Absolutely no idea !
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing, games won't launch either through the EA or the XBOX app, a prompt appears telling me: "Your game failed to launch An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later."
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to launch the games I'm paying to be able to play..

I'm at a total loss, spent the whole day looking for solutions online but not one of them works. Extremely frustrating - can someone please share some insight?

    @kayleighmaia4  Since you've demonstrated that this is in all likelihood an account-related error, I've merged your post with the master thread.  Please provide the info requested in the accepted solution on page one.  Some of the links aren't highlighted, so check the text in parentheses.

    Please let me know if there is any more info needed to resolve.

    Did you try to put the EA app in offline mode then run the game? This worked for me

  • I was playing the Sims 4 without any problems when I realized that the 2/25/25 update had been released.  So I exited my game to install the update.  The game didn't launch so I rebooted and from that moment on I have been receiving the "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail.  Try again a little later."

    That was around 1 pm, Wednesday, February 26, 2025.  None of the proposed fixes I've seen here helped me.  I have not reinstalled anything because most have not endorsed that as a solution.

  • Hello everyone, 

    I have the same issue, or kind off. 
    For the last couple of months I've experience this issue, after I finish installing an update, when I try to launch the Sims 4 an error pops up saying "An error on our end, caused the launch to fail. Try again later". At this point, I tried all day long and still I can't play. 

    I tried restarting the app, I tried the app recovery, I tried removing the Sims 4 folder from the Electronics Art folder, still nothing, I tried repairing Sims 4, I tried uninstalling and then re-installing every single pack, I tried removing only my mods folder, but even after all of this I still can't play. 

    I also have the EA app running as administrator. 

    Usually (because as I said it happens after every update) the issue is fixed on its own within 2-3 days minimum, but I just find it a bit annoying because I just want to play the Sims 4 and I want to enjoy the new pack that came out (Business and Hobbies) :( 
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi there, still having issues getting into my Sims 3 game. I thought maybe because of the conversion to the EA forums it would just take a little bit to get a response. However, nothing has changed on my end. I still have yet to be able to open Sims 3 on my new PC even after my old EA account was merged with my current account. If I need to send any updated EA app reporter IDs or logs, let me know.

  • I tried the first few options but none of that works. I am just gonna reinstall the sims and ea game to see if that works before I create a new Windows profile. Seems to be an issue with EA game and connecting to the server.

    I keep getting Error to launch and I’ve done everything that they stated above and it’s still not working

    YOU ABSOLUTE LEGEND. 

    I have no clue why but EA must hate MSI Afterburner cuz after doing this, it instantly fixed it.
