Command Window on Launch of Game

Summarize your bug When launching a gave via EA Desktop a command window launches as well and i need to close manually, this didn't happen with the beta version only Final version
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch game
What happens when the bug occurs? when launching game
What do you expect to see? it not launch a command window

After moving to EA Desktop from Origin i get a command window that pops up attached is a screen shot of what it is.

I too am having this issue even after changing settings, only happened since final version released. EA need to fix this please.

@evlsmurf I'm also having the same problem with a mysterious window appearing when I launch Apex. I thought it was the game as it had an update this week. After visiting this forum, I can see it may be the EA App causing the problem. There have also been a number of Windows updates recently. Would like an explanation.

@warslag FWIW, it is not somehow dangerous, just annoying.

And weird, most of modern games should not need any compatibility for x86 architecture (which is what the command terminal is apparently running). APEX is most definitely a x64-only game

@warslag Yep, same here! Installed the new EA app in Windows 11 and now every EA game pops up the window. I hope someone can figure this out.

Any fixes? Only launching ea app games have this issue. Quite annoying.

Please change the default terminal application from the default option let windows decide to windows cosole host, like the photo.

@evlsmurfThis issue started appearing to me today too. Come on EA you are promoting a new launcher and you come up with problems like this while origin is going away soon. Get things right please this is really annoying.

I followed the above method and do some research and it finally worked.
1.Search " Windows Terminal" and open.
2.Right click on it and select settings.
3.On the default terminal, select windows console host.
Problem solved!

@fantuanss That is hardly a solution. The command to exit Terminal is exactly the same as it is for CMD. EA needs to fix this properly (not to mention Terminal is very useful for power users)
